Award winning UK gospel group sensation, Siani, is ready to stamp their hallmark on the urban music scene with the release of their forthcoming album, titled, Love Is.

Siani, three young, fresh and talented female vocalists have been singing gospel since as long as they can remember. The group, formally started nearly three years ago, and have now established themselves as front-runners on the UK Gospel circuit, with their distinct contemporary R’n’B Urban sound, likened by some to Mary Mary and Brandy.

Group members, Simone, who recently participated in Fame Academy and Nicholle are cousins, and performed duets together before joining forces with longstanding friend, Agery. Contrary to popular belief, the group’s name is not a misspelling of the famous Mount Sinai but simply comes from the first letters of each group members’ name: Simone, Agery and Nicholle. SI A NI is pronounced SY-YA-NY.

The girls started out performing at church concerts and taking part in competitions, doing cover versions to popular songs. They soon learnt that the way forward was to write their own material. In 2001, Siani released their debut single, We Ain’t Got No…and sold 2,000 copies on the back of live performances and gigs! This track paved the way for greater success with subsequence releases into the gospel market of an enhanced CD and EP promoting their songs, The Corner and Missing You.

Following two years of hardwork, Siani release their long awaited debut album, Love Is. The group enlisted some of the UK’s leading producers, namely Linslee Campbell, Miss Cherokee, Antoine Stone, Adrian McKenzie, Patrick ‘Whiteboy’ White, Chris Brooks and Ibe, to help put this phenomenal album together. Renowned producer, Linslee Campbell produced their mainstream smash hit single, Love Is, which received rave reviews from, not only the gospel fraternity, but also the mainstream radio and press media.

Siani has grown from strength to strength, performing extensively up and down the UK and the rest of Europe, building their enormous fan-base and supporting many renowned urban acts including Misteeq, Damage, Omar, Mica Paris and US best selling gospel artistes Donnie McClurkin, Fred Hammond and Trinitee 5:7.

Siani has won Blues and Soul Urban Music Award 2002 and 2003 for best Gospel Group and also won the Gospel Entertainment Award 2003/04 for best group. To top all accolades, the group was nominated for the 2004 MOBO Award for Best Gospel Group and won the 2004 prestige GEM award for Best Album. The girls are causing major stirs in the UK, USA, Europe, Africa and Australia. Three tracks from their forthcoming album, namely Get Up On The Floor, The Corner, and Love Is have reached the no1 spot in Blues & Soul magazine Hip Chart. The single, Love Is, has been playlisted on Choice FM and Radio 1Xtra with regional play across the UK including Galaxy FM, Birmingham.
