Siani return from the sunny shores
of Barbados. The first couple
of days were spent acclimatising to the
hot weather whilst completing interviews
with National Newspapers The Advocate
and The Nation as well as doing live interviews
on Barbadian National Radio. Siani soon
made Headline news in the newspapers having
performed at the Garfield Sobers venue
and then at Farley Hill at the Barbados
Gospel Fest alongside fellow UK artist
The Witness and Cie and also Junior Tucker
and Marvia Providence.
Following this very successful trip,
Siani have already been invited to perform
in Jamaica and Trinidad later this year.
The next few months will be busy but
exciting for the group are set to tour
the USA in June 2005!!
Following their phenomenal success in
the UK with the release of their debut
album, Love Is, Siani has been causing
a major stir in the US with radio championing
their album in New York, Boston, LA, Florida
and Atlanta! Based on this incredible
feedback, Siani have been invited to perform
in several churches and youth conventions
across the US, with the pinnacle being
an invitation to appear at the Urban Gospel
Alliance Awards due to take place in Los
Angeles on 30th June 2005.
The organisers of this event are so impressed
with Siani’s album, they have nominated
the girls for the New artist Urban Gospel
Contemporary Award, with fellow nominees,
Kierra Sheard, J Moss, Shei Atkins and
Raymond & Co.
On their return to the UK, Siani will
perform their "Siani Unplugged"
session at The Albany in Deptford on 23rd
July 2005.
The girls have decided to strip away all
of the synthesised effects and sound modules
to perform with the pure acoustic accompaniment
of a grand piano, acoustic guitar, String
Quartet, Double Bass and Percussion.
This one is for the musical connoisseurs
as Group members Simone (Fame Academy
Finalist), Agery and Nicholle will display
the colours of their beautiful harmonies
and vocals with acoustic accompaniment
in a cosy and intimate setting.
The event is the first event of its kind
within UK Gospel and the event will be
recorded live so come and be a part of
history in the making. The live DVD and
CD of the event will be made available
so you can savour and re-live the experience
over and over again in the comfort of
your home.
An Evening with Siani - London sold out
weeks before the show, An Evening with
Siani - Birmingham was totally sold out.
The Albany can only hold 300.
This will be another sell out event, tickets
are not on sale as yet but you will be
able to pre book your tickets through
the Siani website by Wednesday 8th June
2005!
